Dr. Ronald Cody, DMD

Owner, Dentist

After graduating from UCONN Dental School, Dr. Cody moved to Portland in 1996 and has been taking care of the patients of Maine and New England ever since. Dr. Cody upholds the highest standard of care for his patients and works closely with specialist colleagues in the greater Portland area. Dr. Cody has lectured to dentist groups on the topics of dental implants and occlusion, and has published several professional articles in these areas. Dr. Cody is a credentialed volunteer for Operation Smile. Several times per year, Dr. Cody treats patients born with cleft lip and palate in Maine and around the world. When Dr. Cody is out of the office, he is often seen playing banjo or hanging out with his dog, Oso.

Dr. Ryan Cody, DDS, MSD

Orthodontist

Dr. Ryan Cody is the oldest son of Dr. Ron Cody and is a board-certified, craniofacial orthodontist. After graduating from highschool in Yarmouth, Ryan attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he completed his undergraduate and dental degrees. Following dental school, Ryan finished his orthodontic residency and craniofacial fellowship in Houston, TX. Outside of work, Ryan travels with Operation Smile to take care of children with cleft lip and palate. Ryan has strong clinical interests in clear aligners and orthognathic surgery for patients with sleep apnea. He travels to Maine one week per month to provide clear aligner therapy to our patients. We are thrilled to have him provide straight teeth and functional bites for our practice.

Dr. Gustavo Mahn, DDS, MS

Associate Dentist

Born and raised in Chile, Dr. Mahn obtained his DDS degree from the University of Chile in 2006, with advanced training in Dental Aesthetics certificate in 2008, and Prosthodontics Residency in 2011 from Finis Terrae University in Chile. After spending time in private practice, he obtained a Masters Degree in Operative Dentistry and Biomaterials in 2020 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently Dr. Mahn is an Assistant Professor at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston and travels to Maine to treat patients on Fridays at our office. He loves art, photography, traveling and enjoying the outdoors in every season. 

Dr. Shali Niemeyer, DMD

Associate Dentist

Dr. Shali Niemeyer was born and raised in the city of Sanming in the Fujian Province of China. She attended Fuzhou University where she graduated with a B.A. in English. Dr Shali then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree at the University of New England. Upon graduation, she practiced general dentistry in a large group practice in Hawaii. She then returned to Maine to fulfill a life dream to practice dentistry at the highest level with her experienced colleague and mentor, Dr. Ron Cody. Patient care, community service along with a passion for learning are the driving forces behind her career in dentistry. Dr. Shali enjoys travel, music, tennis, interior design, and most of all, spending time with her husband and dog, Otter.
